Hi Friends!
I have decided to cast my dear departed friend Laxa's son Abhinay in ZAPATLELA II.
I want your response to this thought of mine. Abhinay will the main protogonist in the film along with Makarand Anaspure. I will be gratefull if I can have a good feedback on this.

hi sir i am very glad to hear that abhinay berde is casted as the main lead in z-2.
i think you should cast adinath also as a part of the film & i am sure that he will also make wonders as you made with laxya

I have seen and enjoyed all your movies since childhood including Dhumdhadaka, De Danadan, Thartharat, Dhadakebaaz, Zapatlela, Pachadlela. Mahesh (Inspector Jadhav) and Laxa had been a winning combination for a long time and I eagerly awaited all your films. All these movies were really sequels in their own sense (in terms of the plot except Dhumdhadaka). Neverthless they were fun to watch because of new experiments in each of the movies.
I am glad to see a sequel in the making for Zapatlela after almost 15 years. I havent seen Abhinay on stage or on screen before so wish him all the very best! I hope he duly deserves and gives full justice to the role which many strugglers would have taken years to get. A lot is expected from him. Tatya Vinchoo has a very very special place in Marathi audiences' hearts so will love to see him come alive again.
Wishing the entire team of Zapatlele II a grand success. See you soon on the screen!

hello sir. you have not posted anything since two months . but i must tell you that i watched your first film 'chhota javan' on 26th jan. it is an awesome film. i think it is the best film featuring a child actor in lead. and i think you must have noticed that it is also a five letter title.

No doubt your concept is rocking. but with all due respect, sir in your interview on the 18th of jan 2009 you said that marathi industry needs new talent. should i be bold enough to offer my services at this point, i wonder would they be accepted or atleast stand a chance to an audience by the master him self.
i would say that coming back with a sequal to zapatlela would not be very appealing the 1st part was a huge success as far as i am concerned. so let it be by itself. thats how "it" becomes a legend.
Besides to launch abhinay son of the greates comedian the marathi industry has ever seen, i believe he deserves a his own identity one like his fater made one like you made, one like he strives to make.

This sequel to Zapatlela would be gr8 to watch.. But i dont think nebody can act like Laxmikant, as we superb in the film. May Abhinay had got the same acting skill's wat Laxmikant had. Wishing him all the best.

Everyone expects such innovations from your banner. Your films were big hits not only because of the Mahesh-Laxya combination but also because of great music and editiing. I sincerely feel, please do not go by gimmicks and zingoismic fan suggestions. Consider Abhinay if he suits the role and has some acting credentials behind him.

He will get to learn a lot which will help him in his future carrier. His father Late Laxmikant Berde was an outstanding actor. His timing, delivery of dialogue sounded awesome. Hope his son follows his lead......

Hey Mahesh, I've watched quite a few of your movies and indeed, appreciated most of them where Late Laxmikant featured alongside many others including you. I admire the fact that you feel like paying back to what Laxmikant offered you as a friend and an artist. However, I do request you not to smother the child with this huge obligation. Please never ever mention it to him that you provided an opportunity because of his father's untimely demise and you felt sorry for him for having missed a biggest mentor any child can ever have at home i.e.: a father. Keep up the good work and kudos to you for being so compassionate towards Berde family. It is heartening to see your human side and I'm glad there there individuals like you, still around. Good luck in your endeavor and will stand by for the release soon.
